The first thing she did was try rice cereal. It was hilarious. She is not a fan, and was completely uninterested. Every bit that I put in her mouth came right back out. We are giving it another week or so and then I am going to try again. You know, Shiloh is such a happy girl, so there was no screaming or anything involved, but she looked at me like she was questioning my sanity when I got the first bit in her mouth. She is so different from how the boys were, they gulped it down, and alot sooner than this, too!
Anyway, I think that the look on her face in these pics tells the story better than I can!
One pretty afternoon, we took the kids to the park. Instead of sleeping through this like she normally does, Shiloh was awake and trying to interact with everyone, so we decided to try her in the baby swing! She L-O-V-E-D it!!! It made her soooo happy. I just love seeing joy on her face, and I see it alot! So, we got a pic, complete with the tounge out, which is one of her new "things".
Unfortunately, we did not have the camera handy for her other first. Tyrone and I were kind of lounging on the living room floor, with shiloh between us, she was sitting up and we each had a hand on her, supporting her. But it seemed like I could feel her trying to do it by herself, sort of pulling away from our hands and stiffening up. So, we let go of her, and, sure enough, she sat up all by herself!!! I did NOT see this one coming AT ALL, and she took me completely by surprise!! She did it twice that night, for about 30 seconds or so each time before she started to slump. That was about a week ago. She's still working on it, and isn't a reliable sitter yet, but she is on her way!!!
