Shiloh LOVES to help cook, and she is really getting the hang of it. She made dinner tonight with minimal help from me (a homestyle bakes type dinner, so nothing too complicated, but she IS 2!)
Emmeline eats!
I was very purposefully waiting for Emme to turn 6 months old (next week) before feeding her solids. Watching her though, I became convinced that she was ready, very ready. So, I got some carrots from the fridge, steamed and pureed them, and put Emme in the high chair!
This was an awesome decision! She was so ready, she didn't seem surprised at all, and she loved it!
She was shoving her fingers in her mouth when I wasn't fast enough with another spoonful!
Emmeline's first time eating? Success!

We had errands to do this morning, and then I decided to take the kids to one of the coolest playgrounds ever. It's HUGE, and really resembles a castle. There are tunnels and secret passages and wiggly bridges and all kinds of fun-ness. We spent several hours there.
I have told y'all that Gabe is 100% wiry muscle and 0% fat and can climb ANYTHING, right?
Do you see the big puddle of water? You can guess how that turned out, right? Gabe ended up pretty soaked!
Lots of fun tunnels and hidey holes!
Kaleb has mastered those ring thingys!

This is only SOME of the playground!
Kaleb spent a lot of time playing with Shiloh, she just glows with happiness when he pays attention to her. Such a sweet boy, taking time for his little sister!
Emmeline slept in the sling, then ate, and then we switched around to the hip carry, which she loves. She giggled at all of the kids and chewed on the sling. I tried to put her in the swing, but she didn't want to!

Little girl getting big, a princess and a tomboy. Killer of spiders and wearer of fairy wings. Lover of sleep, snack time, and all that sparkles. Today was not only the first day of summer, it was also the boys' last day of school. They brought home the most AWESOME report cards, too! I surprised them by picking them up from the bus stop in the truck and driving straight to the splash park, where we met Dawn and Josh. We had so much fun, we spent several hours there, with Josh carting the kids off and running them through the water lots!
