Sorry that there are no pics, blogger has refused to let me upload any for over a day, but....HE'S HOME. What more can I say? It's perfect. We're perfect, everything is perfect!!!
I'm loving normal life....cooking for everybody, listening to everyone laughing and playing, watching Tyrone's eyes light up when he is enjoying the kids.
I will put pics up soon. But, for now, I'm going to go enjoy my family!!
WARNING: VENTING!!!

When I moved in here a couple of weeks ago, there was no one sharing either of my walls. Then, about a week ago, a girl waiting on her husband to come home moved in to one side of me. She's super sweet, and likes kids and cats. That's good stuff....friend material!
THEN...this couple has moved in on the other side of me. They moved in like 3 days ago. They are loud. All the time. The first day I was okay with it. It was nice to not be in the back of the complex all by myself, and, afterall, they were moving in their furniture...not an everyday occurence! Last night at about 10pm when they were still hammering things into our shared wall, I started to get annoyed. THIS MORNING when I was still being woken up by them moving things around in their bedroom at 1:30, I was just plain angry. Thank goodness I share their bedroom wall instead of it being one of the kids! I had to put in my ear buds and listen to my mp3 player to block them out so I could sleep!
They have been gone all evening, and I was so happy! Well, they just got back. I can HEAR their conversations, and their opening and shutting doors LOUDLY, and their music which could stand to be turned down a notch or two. These are pretty thin walls, but my neighbor on the other side and I manage to not hear each other like this.
I'm trying to be patient...after all, I have 3 kids....at some point, we're going to be loud and need a little patience from them. But, really, I would just like to yell at them to be quiet!!!

displaced southerner
Thursday, October 16, 2008 by Bailey
I say m'am and sir whenever I respond to someone who is not a close friend, I say pecan in the way that drives my grandpa crazy and brings to his mind a can full of peas. I am a southerner, if not born then definately bred. I never thought of myself as having an accent, and, to be honest, neither would any of my GA people. And, anybody that listens to my best friend Melissa talk knows that I have only a hint of what she has in the accent department, although I've been accused of picking it up from her when we hang out much.
In New York, I always get the impression that people are angry with me-their manner of speaking is very brusque. And I get the feeling that they find me a little too talkative. "Let's get to the point and get on with it" seems to be the prevailing attitude, and the looks I get when I start talking range from amusement to annoyance.
Well, I say yes m'am and no sir, as do my children, we say y'all without provocation, and we will drawl when at all possible (lol)....you won't hear us say ain't, though...that's where I draw the line!

we <3 the outside

Although I didn't precisely get my wish for the kids to have a fenced in backyard, we really do have the next best thing here. Shiloh is running a pretty high fever today, so there was no outside time for her, but it was so pleasant out that I was able to open the back door, put the baby gate there, and let the boys play!
There is a huge window in the living room, and between that and the open back door, I am able to perfectly supervise the boys while still attending to Shiloh. They think this is FANTASTIC, and I love it too. It seriously cuts down on me having to referee....they played out there for four hours today!
The weather won't be nice enough for this for long, but we'll take it while we can get it. The next 2 days, the temp is supposed to be in the low 70s, and I can guarantee that we will be outside a bunch!

Guess what?! We have the truck back! I'm very excited! And Tyrone will be home sooooooon! Like, soon soon! I'm beside myself!
Here are a couple of pics just for fun!
This basketball goal cost me $3 at the Dollar General right up the road. It's possibly the best $3 I've ever spent....

And here's Shiloh, enjoying herself climbing in and out of the kitchen cabinets!

a bone?!

So, things continue to not really go the way I would have them, were it up to me. Today was an endless merry-go-round of carting 3 children around to places that they didn't want to be to try to accomplish things that are headache inducing.
The truck is still not fixed....it's finally being worked on, though. The entire transmission in kaput. You might consider that to be the end of my car troubles...especially considering that we replaced the radiator in Feb., and just a few months ago I had to replace the fuel pump. HA! You would be wrong! I should get an award.
This morning, the tire on our rental car was flat. Now, I know lots of people get flats running over nails and such. You know that we have to be more interesting then that around here, right?? I, apparently, ran over a very sharp bone at the perfect angle to puncture the tire of the PT Cruiser. Oh, yes. A bone.

I took a break from stressing about the truck and trying to unpack today to check out the playground here at the new house. There is actually a playground, a basketball court (much to Kaleb's happiness), and tons of grassy space. So, I'm happy about the outside, and so were the kids. It was nice, but we were only out there for about 40 minutes because we got to chilly!

new york

Ugh. That's all I can say. We are in New York, in our new house. Do you want to know what is NOT here? My truck. It broke down, 80 miles before we got to the house. We waited beside the road for hours yesterday waiting on the tow truck, and the uhaul trailer only managed to get here today.
It's such a long story. I am exhausted and don't have time to tell it, but it will all be okay. God has been looking out for us, and I wasn't alone, as Liz, a wonderful lady from my SS class rode with me on the trip.
One cool story, though. As we were sitting there on the side of the road, nobody was getting into the far lane. 18 wheelers were literally rocking the truck and trailer, which held all 3 of my children, scaring me to death. We called 911 to ask for a trooper to come sit there with his lights on while we waited on the tow truck, and the dispatcher very rudely told me no. Liz said that was it, we needed to pray. We all held hands, even the baby, and started praying.
WHILE we were praying, someone knocked on my window! It was a trooper, and he stayed with us until his shift was over, and then had someone else come sit with us! He was livid that a dispatcher had told us no one would sit with us, and told us that's what he was there for. Liz looked at me and said "God works fast!" and she was right.
There have been many super helpful and kind people along the way to help me through all of this, and I know I have been blessed. Just please pray that the truck is an easy fix, please. They already thought that they fixed it earlier today, and we got most of the way home, and it died again.
Also, my phone gets zero reception at the house, so please email me if you need to get me, for the time being! I will post an update and pics soon!
