On Friday morning, I got the boys out of bed and got Shiloh out of her crib. She was feeling chilly and still sleepy, so even though I don't normally, I carried her instead of making her walk. I slipped on the first step, and I fell. I couldn't catch myself because I wrapped my arms around Shiloh, so we fell all the way down to the landing. She was fine, never even touched the stairs on the way down. I hit my hip, back, and arm. It really hurt and I was scared. I called Tyrone without ever getting up from the landing, and he rushed home.
Tyrone took me to my doctor's office, but when they heard what had happened they sent me over to L & D. My heart rate was up, but they weren't too concerned at first, since I was upset. The baby looked good, my HR went back down, and they were going to send us home after several hours. When they were doing my vitals prior to discharge, and my HR had gone back up.
They canceled my discharge and started constantly monitoring my HR. It never went below 130, even when I was resting, and went over 200 at several points. They did an EKG and a tilt test.....which was "ridiculously tilt positive" according to my Dr. They really don't know why this is happening, but it is wearing me out. I almost constantly feel like I just ran up the stairs, and am occasionally dizzy and woozy feeling. I go to the cardiologist this week, so hopefully we'll get some answers.
For now, I am pretty much taking it easy and just anxious to get a handle on what is going on and why, because I don't feel like I have much of one at this point. I'm looking to the cardiologist for more answers. So, at this point, I would really just appreciate prayers while we try to get all of this figured out.
The good news is that the baby does not seem to be affected. I am not having any contractions from the stress and her HR does not get "tachy" even when mine goes very high, which is good. She is moving and kicking up a storm, and she and I have enjoyed more then our fair share of Halloween candy. :)
