Brigade Cookout

Friday, May 25, 2007

Today, from 11:00 to about 3:00, there was a Brigade Cookout....it was HUGE! I couldn't even begin to tell you how many people were there. It was so much fun to finally get to do something social with these people that Tyrone trains so hard with. There were lots of families, tons of kids for the boys to play with. They had 4 of those huge bouncy huts set up, and the boys spent at least an hour and a half just bouncing.

I finally got the opportunity to meet Tyrone's Sgt. who has been so good to us, his wife, and their 4 children. They even brought us 2 bags of clothes, many of them perfect for a new baby whose due date is in the winter! Seeing as how I am big into nesting and getting ready for the baby, this makes me feel like I have won the lottery!! I've already laid them all out and sorted according to size and type....

Overall, it was just alot of fun! Mom, I included the pic of Kaleb in the sunglasses especially for you, since when we were on the phone, he wanted you to know how cool he looked! And in the pic of Gabe, that is oreo all over his face....he and Kaleb both had a grand time eating them, and also having snow cones and their first ever cotton candy! Needless to say, we were fairly sticky by the time we left!!

Kaleb you are just too cool in your shades. You are so the bomb! Bailey I'm surprised you let
Gabe get in your new truck with that oreo face. It's the face a grandmother could love. Love looking at the pix of my boys.

Mom--I read your comment to K and he laughed when you said he was the bomb. And, we washed Gabe off at the water fountain before we put him in the truck, he was wet, but much cleaner!

sounds like so much fun! it's always great to get together in community; glad the boys had a blast and you met some new people. And hooray for free clothes. My favorite.
