new york

Ugh. That's all I can say. We are in New York, in our new house. Do you want to know what is NOT here? My truck. It broke down, 80 miles before we got to the house. We waited beside the road for hours yesterday waiting on the tow truck, and the uhaul trailer only managed to get here today.

It's such a long story. I am exhausted and don't have time to tell it, but it will all be okay. God has been looking out for us, and I wasn't alone, as Liz, a wonderful lady from my SS class rode with me on the trip.

One cool story, though. As we were sitting there on the side of the road, nobody was getting into the far lane. 18 wheelers were literally rocking the truck and trailer, which held all 3 of my children, scaring me to death. We called 911 to ask for a trooper to come sit there with his lights on while we waited on the tow truck, and the dispatcher very rudely told me no. Liz said that was it, we needed to pray. We all held hands, even the baby, and started praying.

WHILE we were praying, someone knocked on my window! It was a trooper, and he stayed with us until his shift was over, and then had someone else come sit with us! He was livid that a dispatcher had told us no one would sit with us, and told us that's what he was there for. Liz looked at me and said "God works fast!" and she was right.

There have been many super helpful and kind people along the way to help me through all of this, and I know I have been blessed. Just please pray that the truck is an easy fix, please. They already thought that they fixed it earlier today, and we got most of the way home, and it died again.

Also, my phone gets zero reception at the house, so please email me if you need to get me, for the time being! I will post an update and pics soon!
