Sorry for my long absence....we have been having internet issues, which hopefully are over for good!!!! I have been dying to get this posted, we had SUCH a great time. I have missed Kim so much, and it was great to finally get to meet Eddy and introduce them to my family! How wonderful that after getting transferred up here to Siberia we found we were so close to someone I love so much!!!
For those of you not in the know, Kim rehabilitates raccoons that for one reason or another find themselves in need of her help. Well, we hadn't been there for maybe 15 minutes when Kim got a brand new raccoon baby! This was so exciting for all 4 of us to get to see! We got to see the first feeding, and watch the new baby (who Kim let Kaleb name Winnie) get EXTREMELY attached to her. When she finally put Winnie back in her cage, Winnie cried and cried for her new mommy.
And, of course, there were the horses. The boys helped with the feeding chores (although I'm not completely sure that they didn't just make more work for Kim!) and were thrilled to get to hand feed them apples! And, later, they got to ride the horses, a first for both of them...they did so well! What an experience for them!
When Eddy got back from running errands, it was so nice to get to meet him! He was so good with they boys, especially with Gabe who had thousands of questions about everything, and I do believe that Eddy answered everyone of them! Also, the man can cook a mean hamburger!!
All of us, but Tyrone in particular, were fascinated with the fact that the house was completely solar powered. How cool is that?! I didn't get pics of the panel or anything like I guess I should have, but it was to neat to not mention. We also took Tito, who, as Eddy put it, "found his inner canine." He ran around and became one of the dogs!
We all had such a great day out there, none of us wanted to leave, and they may not have gotten rid of us at all if we hadn't had church the next morning. Thank you so much, Kim & Eddy, and I hope that we can do it again before we leave!!!

Thank you so much for posting those wonderful pix of all of you. I love seeing you with our friend Kim and her husband. The picture of you, Kim and Tito was so wonderful and looked so much like I would see you in my minds eye.
