anniversary

Wednesday, March 3, 2010

4 years ago today, I married my best friend. We have been through so much in the 4 years prior to that, and the 4 years since. My thoughts inevitably turn to what the next year of marriage will bring. It will bring mostly seperation. With less then a month to deployment now, reflecting on how much I love my husband also makes think about how very much I will miss him while he is gone. He will be deployed for our 5th anniversary, but will be less than a month from coming home, and that thought makes me smile.

I love my husband so very much, and he makes me feel loved in a million little ways every day. Happy anniversary, Tyrone.

Emmeline is 2 months old! It's crazy, but true!

**Emme continues to need to be wrapped up tight. The SwaddleMe that Grandma and Grandpa gave her is the BEST invention ever! It is our magic blanket that can bring quiet and sleep when we have exhausted everything else! That and my pouch from KangarooKorner fill Emme's need to be all wrapped up! She often gets her best naps when we are out and about shopping and she is all snuggly with me in the pouch!

**She now smiles OFTEN and even laughed yesterday! I don't know if any of you remember, but Kaleb got Shiloh's first laugh, and he got Emme's first, too! He was singing, dancing, and making crazy faces for her, and, sure enough, she laughed! He's a good bubba :)

**Emmeline is still exclusively nursing and, to me, this is a HUGE deal! Current research sows that nursing exclusively for the first 6 months of life greatly reduces the risk of asthma, allergies, and eczema, all three of which our kids are prone to. I feel awesome knowing that we are doing all we can to help her!

**Emme is fascinated by all of us, and I think is starting to recognize us as individuals. She will really look at and concentrate on each of us, and seems to want to follow the back and forth of a conversation, even trying to participate with her own sounds!

**She is doing great with tummy time, and is very strong! We also discovered today that sometimes all she wants is to be propped in a sitting position where she can watch the world!

Emmeline is a love bug who loves cuddling more then anything, and we are happy to oblige! What a sweetpea....Happy 2 months, Emmeline Lily!

daddy time

Tyrone is taking special time out to spend one on one time with each of the big kids. Last night was Kaleb's turn! He had no clue why he was not getting his pajamas on while Gabe and Shiloh were getting ready for bed, but he was a good sport. He was getting really confused by the time I wanted to take a picture before the left. I'm pretty sure he thought they were just running up to the store and Mom had officially gone off the deep end with the picture taking!

Anyway, Tyrone kept it all a surprise until they pulled up in the movie theater parking lot! Tyrone and Kaleb went to take in the 7pm movie, just the two of them! Kaleb just GLOWED when he told me about it when they got home last night, they both had a ball! In fact, he was still talking about it this morning! Apparently, when it's just you and Dad, you get to pick from the concessions stand!

I can't wait until Gabe's turn next weekend.....they love getting the one on one time with Dad!

The boys are in their pajamas, but, still-I love this picture! Can you believe that everyone was looking at the camera?!
