get your lady bugs in a row!

I want to tell you about my good friend Kristy really quick! Kristy and I have never met outside of bloggy land, but she has become SUCH a good friend. We became acquainted during Tyrone's last deployment, when her son was also deployed. I quickly learned that she has a HUGE heart and a sweet spirit! Just when I need it the most, I get a random call/text/email/blog comment from Kristy!

She has a wonderful husband, Frank, and is a mother-of-many...but her family is not quite complete. Over FOUR years ago, Kristy and her family started on the journey to adopt a little girl from China. What a very, very long wait it has been for them! But, the wait is *this close* to being over.....they should be seeing their daughter's beautiful face this coming week!

If you would, pray for Kristy and family...they have been through so much waiting to bring dear Franceska home! Hopefully they will get their referral, see their little girl, and very very soon be traveling to China to bring her home!

In the mean time, we are playing with our ladybugs and thinking of you, Kristy!

Emmeline is big enough to be pretty nosey about what is going on around her, and she has good head control, so we decided to try the facing out position for the first time this morning! I know her legs look funny, but she was very comfy, it's all positionally correct, and MUCH better for a baby than the baby carriers that dangle them from the crotch. This is basically the position a baby is in anyway when you lay them down and they grab their feet :) She was all smiles and giggles and a VERY happy girl!

Shiloh was still in her crib. We liked the crib. She climbed out once a few months ago, didn't like it, and never tried again. She has wonderful sleep habits and I was hoping that she would be in her crib until she was 6. I'm joking. Sort of.

Anyway, all of that came to a screeching halt on Saturday when she some how broke a slat completely off the crib, rendering it unsafe. What is worse is that it was SUPPOSED to be her toddler bed, but that was out now, too, because of the location of the broken slat. So I hurriedly ordered her a toddler bed and she slept on her mattress on the floor with the baby gate in her door. She did ok, taking only about 30-45 min to fall asleep with full reign of her room (she doesn't have any toys in there, so it's pretty boring, I moved them ALL to the playroom to help with this problem.)

Today, though, it came! A big girl bed, a bed fit for a princess, a BIG BED JUST FOR SHILOH!!! She is beside herself! And what other kind of bed would you get for Shiloh???

A princess bed, of course. Quickly made up with her princess sheets, and her in her princess nightgown. She couldn't be happier!

4 months {e}

Sunday, May 2, 2010

Edited to add: 12lb 9oz :)

Emmeline Lily is four months old!

**Emme is a smiley girl! She loves to be talked to, danced with, and tickled. If you engage in any of these with her, you will be rewarded by a big gummy grin and giggles!

**You saw the video of Emmeline rolling from front to back, she's having a lot of fun with that! She's also working on back to front now, but that's going to take a bit more work!

**We are still nursing! Whoo hoo!

**Emmeline has become very social, and is so happy when we are around other people! She will make eyes, smile big, and try to turn her head 180 degrees just to catch someone's attention. Too funny!

**She is still in 0-3 month sizes but has definitely grown, I'm guessing maybe 2 or 3 weeks left in this size. I will have her height and weight tomorrow, as that is when her appt. is.

**Emmeline went through a rough 2 weeks where she was waking up every 1 1/2 to 2 hours to eat, but we are back to "only" twice a night, which is practically a vacation now! lol
