life saver

This fantastic fleece pouch is from kangarookorner.com and it is my life saver! Emmeline sleeps in it and I can help with homework, cook dinner, and generally be totally present for my older kids. I picked it out and Mom bought it for my birthday last year...So happy to have it!!

Honestly, I have been having lots of growing pains, going from 3 to 4 children. 2 to 3 was not this hard....I didn't expect it. I'm not sure if it's that Shiloh and Emmeline have the smallest age gap of any of the kids, or if 4 is just A LOT of children, or that Emmeline is my most challenging sleeper. Whatever it is, I've been struggling a bit.

I've been working really hard to come up with strategies to let me get the hang of this, especially since Tyrone is leaving soon, I have to be able to do this on my own! The sling is a huge part of this, and I'm slowly getting there, although I am frequently overwhelmed still. I would love prayers for this time period, it stresses me out to not have the house the way I want it, and to just generally feel like I'm not accomplishing the things I should.

But, Emme will only be this little for such a short time, and I will miss this. We have had success with nursing (thank goodness!) and that also takes time but is worth it. 3 weeks and she is still exclusively nursing with little difficulty and is gaining weight, so although it takes time, I know I'm doing something really good for her!

Anyway, a couple of pics of 3 week old Emmeline!
