Little Ms. Shiloh

Guess what Shiloh has been up to?? Lots!

*Wednesday, I watched her try to roll over. No, she hasn't gotten the hang of it, but you could tell she WANTED it soooo bad! She was on her back in her play pen, and worked and worked trying to get to her tummy. She got all the way onto her side....and then that arm got in the way. Both the boys did back-to-tummy rolling first, so I will not be suprised at all if I go to get her out of bed one of these days and find her happily tummy-down. (cue my days of checking on her every 5 minutes and making her mad by flipping her back over when she's sleeping!!)

*Friday night, she started looking at her fingers. you know, wiggling them at herself and staring in fascination....my friend Melissa and I literally watched her see them for the first time, they startled her at first and then got wide eyed, rapt attention for a good 10 minutes thereafter.

*Today, Shiloh LAUGHED! I couldn't have planned the moment any better if I had tried (well, except for maybe videoing it) We were getting ready to go have dinner with Mom, so I had Shiloh strapped into her car seat and sitting by the door already. K was all ready to go, so he was sitting beside her, talking to her, and Tyrone called. So, I was talking to him and trying to grab the million and one things you always have to have before you can leave the house when you have as many children as I do. Kaleb started rocking Shiloh and talking to her, so I was keeping an eye on this while trying to get us out the door. K started acting like a nut, making crazy noises and absolutely insane faces, all directed at his sister in an obvious attempt to entertain. I was right beside them, still on the phone, when Tyrone and I got to hear our little girl's first laugh together. How thankful we are to have gotten to unexpectedly share this 'first'! We both got a bit choked up, it was a great moment, and we'll take every great moment we can get! K is so proud to have gotten the first laugh, and, believe me, he's put in so much attentive big brother time, he's earned it!
