Funny things my boys say

Thursday, July 5, 2007

1.) The other day, Gabe and Tyrone were being very silly together. Gabe was trying to tell Tyrone something and Tyrone was being very difficult, purposely not understanding, misunderstanding, mis-quoting, etc. (very much in the vein that my father used to do to us, for those of you who know him...) This was eliciting giggles, but finally, Gabe had enough and yelled loudly "DADDY! Do you hear me talking to you!?" (Normally, this would not have been funny...but Gabe was so provoked....we all had to laugh)

2.) After we had Gabe's birthday, we were making a big deal out of the fact that he's 3 now, trying to get him used to saying it. Well, a little while later, we were in the car, and Gabe was whining about something. Kaleb said to him "Gabe! You are NOT a little baby anymore, you are 3! Get it together!" This was one of those times when Tyrone and I just had to turn away from the boys and laugh quietly as possible.

3.) This morning, I decided that the boys could have pop-tarts for breakfast. I asked them what flavor that wanted, and Gabe's choice was cinnamon. But Gabe can't say cinnamon....When he said it, it sounded like this "I want Limaninin!"

4.) Last night, we let the boys stay up ALOT past their bed time, they were watching a movie with their Daddy. They normally go to bed between 7 and 8, and it was after 10 when we tucked them in. Needless to say, they were completely exhausted by then. Gabe, however, didn't think that he was ready to give up for the night. We did our usual bed time routine, and then he started crying. I left the room but stayed close by, and this is what I heard "I don't want to sleep. I don't want to sleep. I don't......" At this point, I peeked back in, and he was out cold!

Janet must be a grandmother too. Grandmothers really think that these things are just too funny. Bailey, is it possible that Gabe was doing "I don't know" while he was passing out?

Okday, Bailey, I am back, and look, you have more "commenters"! Cool! I sure hope that Gabe has "kept it together". That had me in stitches! It's good to write all those down, because it is sooo easy to forget them, especially when more little ones start showing up. :-)

Bailey asked me to leave a comment about her lack of postings on her blog. Her computer is back at Gateway (the third time). As soon as she is able to get on line she'll have more posts for us
