do whatcha gotta do!

Tyrone took this picture a week or two ago of some of his battle buddies putting up a tent at their new location. There is nothing there that they haven't built, it's a very bare bones existence for them right now. There is no more Internet, and I haven't heard his voice in weeks. Thank goodness for our awesome phone plan (which, while it doesn't allow for talking in his location-strange, right?- it does allow for texting.) Anyway, Tyrone tells me they are busily playing "Bob the Builder" and I just thought everyone else might enjoy this pic as well!

apples

Monday, September 20, 2010

Yesterday, we went apple picking with Dawn and Josh! This lady has tons of apple trees and wasn't charging, just didn't want to see the apples go to waste. We had so much fun and got SO MANY apples. Blogger isn't cooperating, so some of the pics are out of order, but here some of them are!

This was right outside of the house when we got home, the final haul after I picked out the rotten ones that had snuck in with the good ones!

Emmeline was fascinated....right until she fell asleep. But she tried to get in on the picking action!

Shiloh needed no coaching and got straight to work

Me and my babies! (Emmeline was passed out cold by this time!)

It was a blast! These kids were WORN OUT, and they did a great job! This week we are baking, eating, and freezing all things apple!

our girl

Thursday, September 16, 2010

Our girl loves her gymnastics class! She begs to go every day, and is soooo excited when Thursday rolls around and I lay out a leotard for her to put on. She is also incredibly focused for the duration of the 45 minute class. The pics are definitely not the best, because they were taken from behind the parent's viewing windows.

Today, she practiced backwards somersaults...

Her very first somersault on the balance beam!

This was her first time on the big balance beam...

More practice on the little one!

And they did the bars today for the first time!

Shiloh is doing awesome and we are so proud of her! Also, I think that it would take an incredible amount of energy to teach gymnastics to 3 and 4 year olds! Kudos to our coaches!
